Mental Health by Design (MHxD) is a collaboration between the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Fund for Public Health aimed at promoting mental health in NYC public schools through thoughtful design. We designed spaces for two schools with a total budget of $10,000, demanding that we utilize an economy of means to maximize effect. 

Color, soft materials, and playful shapes transform the standard classrooms into safe spaces for students to exchange ideas and to improve health equity in under-served schools.
